ATHENS, Greece: A Greek courtroom on Tuesday acquitted a bunch of 16 support employees and volunteers of expenses linked with their efforts to rescue migrants making the damaging sea crossing in small boats from neighboring Turkiye.
The trial on the japanese island of Lesbos on espionage and different expenses had attracted worldwide scrutiny, with rights teams accusing Greece of concentrating on the defendants for his or her humanitarian work.
